With Bentley's 100th anniversary set to be next year and the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It pays tribute to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and even has a piece of one of his own cars.
The special model that can be purchased on a long-wheelbase or a regular-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed, was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. used as his personal car. The influence of this car can be observed in the cabin. For instance the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet houses an exhibit that has a part of the 8 Litre crankshaft displaying inside.
Other highlights include a chrome-colored application running back to the side of the car with an air vent that is photoetched that incorporates W.O. The front grille has been designed following 1930s-inspired Onyx and there's an additional chrome application around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille is also unique, featuring chrome mesh instead of the typical body-color mesh like that of the regular Mulsanne and including the Flying B logo as well.
The key box is engraved with Bentley wings and comes with an ebony lining. Key pouches can be bought to match or contrast the key box. The commemorative set includes a 1:18 scale model and an air-borne "B" paperweight. It also includes a printed booklet featuring never-before seen images of the original Bentley 8 Litre.
